CEE Investment Forum

„ We are connecting the financial world“

6th NOVEMBER 2019
National House of Vinohrady, PRAGUE

About CEEIF

The CEE Investment Forum, which has expanded the previous platform Prague Capital Market Summit, features international guests, key firms operating in the financial markets across the region, and an extension of the topics. The conference has long been supported by state administration, professional associations and chambers, key partners, and also financial media. The main theme will be conceived as an investment opportunity in Europe, which will be explored by a panel discussion, providing a comprehensive view of capital markets and investments in the CEE region.
Don't miss the opportunity!

1

Fintech, capital markets and technological disruption

The financial sector is one of the most active sectors where innovation is currently being implemented. Leading European banks see innovation as an opportunity, mainly in terms of transformation and digitization. The key issues are data security, privacy, law and regulation, as well as funding for innovation. But the big question is the future of financial services and technological development. What role do banks play in their customers' lives and what will the bank of the future look like?

2

Investment funds and opportunities in Europe

The CEE region is very attractive from the point of view of foreign investment, and this is cross-sectoral. Key European investment fund representatives will reveal where they see opportunities in these markets, what sectors are attractive, how regulation and investment profiles of individual countries differ across the region, and how establishing and managing an investment fund in Luxembourg compares to the CEE region, and what the most important influences affecting subsequent asset management are. At the same time, Czech-Slovak companies that are successful are also oriented towards, at a minimum, the investment environment in Europe at least, as well as obtaining sources of capital abroad, as the local market has become insufficient for their needs. The growing level of private equity investment in Central and Eastern Europe has contributed to significant growth in M&A activity in recent years.

3

European stock exchanges and regional coverage

A more efficiently interconnected global economy, extensive access to information, and deregulation in financial markets facilitate the diversification of investment portfolios. More than 27 new issuers made IPOs on European stock exchanges last year, and many companies are expected to continue this trend. Europe has seen more technology IPOs in recent years than the US, and the SME segment is also beginning to use this form of capital source. Where are the opportunities for all stakeholders, what is the regional coverage, and where are opportunities? Last year, capital markets also became an interesting source of funding for leading real estate market players: will this trend continue?

4

Real estate investment and capital markets

Although the boom in real estate investment in Europe continues, many real estate experts predict a decline in profitability. Already today, investors are focusing on high-quality assets in the most economically efficient markets. What are the key themes of the European real estate market in 2019? What is the driving force behind the office market in Europe? What investment strategies are the most important players in Europe using? Who will win the "fight" for the highest quality assets (foreign vs. local investors)?
